Materials & Care

GOLD PLATED

Plated gold is a beautiful and accessible way to elevate your handmade jewelry with the look of real gold. To extend your gold plated jewelry shelf life, keep them dry and store in a safe, airtight space.

BRASS

Naturally, brass will patina over time due to exposure to oxygen and moisture from skin contact. If you would like to restore the original shine, you can use a mix of baking soda, lemon juice, and water. Scrub it with a soft cloth or toothbrush, wipe the mixture off, and dry. There are other simple remedies you can try with ingredients you probably have at home with a quick Internet search.

STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is a great metal for sensitive skin and is lead, cadmium, and nickel-free. Unless noted otherwise, all earring backs are stainless steel.

POLYMER CLAY

Polymer clay is a very durable, lightweight, non-toxic material. Please treat your earrings with care - they are durable but it can also break and scratch if not properly taken care of. Polymer clay earrings should not be worn in the shower, while swimming or while sleeping.

Please keep pieces away from small children.

Caring for your swen goodies

Sewn products are machine washable. Please wash in cold water and do not put your e-Reader case in the drier. Lay flat to dry.

You can also simply spot treat as needed.

Iron as needed.
